enough的用法

　　肯定：need + to do sth

　　否定：don’t / doesn’t /didn’t need + to do sth

　　疑问：do +主语+ need to do sth?

　　I need to consult a dictionary. 我需要查词典。

　　Does she need to do the cooking? 她需要做饭吗?

　　Yes, she does.是的，她需要做饭。

　　No, she doesn’t.不，她不必做饭。

　　She doesn’t need to do the cooking. 她不必做饭。

prefer的用法

　　prefer在英语中用作动词(verb)意思是更喜欢;宁愿, 后面可以接名词，不定式或者现在分词，也就是这样：

　　prefer sth. to sth.

　　prefer to do...

　　prefer doing...

　　栗子：I prefer a small city to a big one.

　　I prefer to live in a tropical city. = I prefer living in a tropical city.

　　还有一种常见的结构是：

　　prefer to do.... rather than do...

　　栗子: Miranda prefers to take a bus rather thanwalk .

　　米兰达宁愿坐公交车，而不是走路。

　　引导让步状语从句

　　意思是“虽然…但是….”、“尽管…但是…” (多放于句首)

　　意思是“只要”， 这时候while相当于 as long as

　　while作并列连词时，前后分句有对比意味，表示句意的转折 ，作“而;却(whereas)”解。

　　eg:

　　Waving one’s hand is to say “Goodbye”. Nodding the head means agreement，while shaking it means disagreement.

　　挥手表示再见，点头表示同意，而摇头表示不同意。
