　　We all know Tagore.This famous Indian poet once said, “Life is given to us, and we earn it by giving it.” As the saying goes, nature is given to us, and we earn it by contributing to it. However, most people nowadays just want to ask for more from the nature. In fact, they do very little contribution to the nature. Therefore, the environment around us is becoming worse and worse.

　　Do you often use batteries? Then do you know it takes 50 times more energy to make them than they produce? And just one simple battery can pollute as much water as a person can drink in his whole life. The facts and figures are amazing. So would you please try to use batteries only when it is necessary? If possible, give the used ones to the recycling companies so that they will be made into new ones and won’t be able to pollute the environment any more. Sometimes we become complacent when it comes to recycling, but when you speak in terms of actual facts and figures that everybody can understand, people become much clearer about the problem.

　　We, as school students, can also join in recycling activities to protect the environment. For example, our class set up a recycling center beside the back door, it is very useful. It is used to collect the waste paper and plastic bottles. In the past, our classmates used to throw all of these into the trashcan. At the very beginning of this collecting activity, it was not so warm-welcomed. Later, more and more people were influenced by the others and joined this collecting activity. Gradually, all the students in our class form a good habit to protect the environment. All of us will now put away the reusable things instead of throwing them into the trashcan.

　　We should always remember in our mind that protecting the environment is our duty that we can never neglect. Finally would you please let me end this speech with a little poem, “Be kind to the river. Be good to the trees. Smile at the sunshine, and bow to the breeze. Be friendly to nature, and nature will be friendly to you!”

　　everyone!Now I want to talk about a beatiful world!

　　When I was young,I always dreamed that I lived in a beautiful country. There were many flowers and trees around our city.We counld hear the birds singing and see the children dancing. The streets were clear and the the air was very fresh! How nice it was!But that only was a dream of mine!How I wish that it would be come true! So I think we should do something to protect our environment. Everyone should make a contribution to protect the environment.

　　Taking care of our environment is very important.Wherever you live,you can do something around your neighbourhood.

　　Have you ever thrown any litter onto the ground?Have you ever drawn pictures on public walls?Have you ever spat in a public place?Have you ever cut down trees?If your answers are "No",it means that you have already helped protect our environment.

　　It is our duty to keep our envionment clean and tidy. You might ask yourself,"Have I ever picked up some rubbish and thrown it into a dustbin?Have I ever collected waste paper or bottles for recycling?Have I ever planted any trees or flowers in or near my neighbourhood?"If your answers are"Yes",it means that you have already done something useful to improve the environment.

　　Now I want to say :Let's do our best to make our world more beautiful!

　　In the far corner of the earth, there is a beautiful and tranquil forest. It was so isolated that no one could easily find it, and no one was looking for it. Everything here is covered with peace. The animals that live in this forest don't have to fear that their lives are threatened. The first light of the morning was sprinkled through the unknown forest, and everything in the forest was awakened in the first sunshine. But there is a lot of bloody murder in the forest, but it's liberating to think about it. It is inevitable that there is a shortage of this peaceful forest. There will be no perfect people or things in the world. This forest is here in this isolated place...

　　Until one day, the woodcutter hit on this, the forest gradually be ruthless cut down the axe, the hunter will be a shotgun in the hands of a ruthless animals to hunt. When the last tree is cut down, and finally killed an animal, the once beautiful and quiet forest disappeared, replaced by the cluster of towering buildings and buildings, in human beings for their own "masterpiece" rather smug, finally angry nature, it USES its way to "reward" human. Earthquakes, floods, typhoons... These are unrelenting human beings. Some say it's a natural disaster, but it's human beings who think about the consequences. Human beings should be punished for having made such a thing. Human "masterpiece" after the earthquake and flood destroyed, but man does not learn, where there is forest human footprint will stay, relentless earthquake and flood will also "presence" there.
